Tales From Janus Valley
Behind ancient windows sits a trove of the rare and peculiar. Tiles from the Living Mosaic mingle with dancing clockwork dolls. On this shelf, a jeweled vase that purports to hold ashes from the sacred Cindergrove. On the floor, a porcelain cat statue that occasionally yawns and stretches. This shop is The Curiosityworks, an unassuming antique and curio store in Maynard’s Crossing’s Sunsgate District.
The venerable deva behind the counter is Azir. He might seem distant at first, but he can recite the secret histories of all his most precious treasures. Azir sells plenty of mundane items as well, jewelry and silverware and similar antiques, but the most interesting items come from his personal collection. Azir is always willing to buy novel items, and indeed, is more exited by the prospect of purchasing something rare and eclectic than by selling his stock.
The Curiosityworks’ prices tend to be exhorbitant for the more facinating items, but the store retains an unmatched mystical charm.
