Tales From Janus Valley
Mariners speak of a strange city in the sea. They say that no ship that has ever landed upon the Sunken Isles has ever returned. They talk of dark spires emerging from fog-wrapped sea, of waterlogged structures from an ancient time, and a veritable graveyard of ships smashed to flinters on ruins just below the surface.
More strangely, they talk of watchers in the deeps, of prowling packs of gangrel things that sink men’s ships for fun. Strange, pale beasts that creep aboard sailors’ ships at night and slit their throats while they sleep.
Occasionally, a lucky treasure hunter will come across strange objects fished from the depths. They can be strange, old jewelry, or bony weapons of masterful craftsmanship. On especially rare occasions, they might find queer cylindrical vessels, etched with foul runes, and containing magical treasures unknown to the world. When they proudly show their finds in town, for one night, the legends of the Sunken Isles come true…
