Tales From Janus Valley
Massive Man of Letters
One would never believe Onan to be a scrivener by the looks of him. The scholar is over seven feet tall and built like a side of beef. Though he may appear more cut out for a barbarian horde, Onan possesses a keen mind for language. He speaks eight different languages fluently, has a smattering of a dozen more, and possesses extensive accounts of more obscure dialects. For translation work, Onan is the go-to in Maynard’s Crossing.
His business as a records-keeper and translator is run out of the front room of his small home in the Sunsgate District. If you’re stuck with a piece of writing you can’t identify, look for the sign of the quill. Chances are the living mountain inside can help you out.
